Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion(s), chopped
  • 50 g bacon, diced
  • 1 clove(s) garlic, chopped
  • 4 salmon fillets, frozen or fresh
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 50 ml milk
  • 75 g cream cheese, with herbs, garlic or pepper
  • e.g. butter
  • lemon(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

light food cooked quickly

Sauté the onion, bacon, and garlic in oil in a pan; do not allow to overheat. Meanwhile, season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper and drizzle with lemon juice. Place them in the pan and fry for about 3 minutes on one side. Turn carefully and fry on the other side over low heat for about 5 minutes; frozen fillets need a little longer. Stir in enough milk and cream cheese to create a creamy sauce and continue to simmer until the salmon is cooked through; do not overcook it, as this will prevent it from drying out. Season again with salt and pepper and, if desired, topped with knobs of butter and/or lemon slices. Serve with pasta, parsley-flavored potatoes, or rice, and a light vegetable dish, such as orange and chili carrots.
