Salmon in Beer Batter

The perfect salmon in beer batter recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 400 g Salmon fresh
  • 1 piece Egg
  • 1 piece Clove of garlic
  • 0,5 Cup Fish broth
  • 0,25 Cup White wine
  • 0,25 Cup Whipped cream 40% fat
  • 0,125 bunch Chopped dill
  • 0,125 liter Beer
  • Butter
  • Lemon
  • Flour
  • Potato flour
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  1. Make a dill sauce, see the cookbook (dill sauce)
  2. For the beer batter: separate the egg yolks and whites, beat the egg whites into snow in a bowl and set aside. The yellow is mixed with the beer and the fish stock, then stir in the flour and finally the egg white + some dill and set aside for the time being.
  3. Portion the salmon fillet, sour, salt and pepper, then roll in cornstarch, pull through the beer batter and fry until golden all over in melted butter over medium heat.
  4. We had ribbon noodles as a side dish, but rice or potato products also go well!
