Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 large tomatoes, preferably beefsteak tomatoes
  • 1 m.-large onion(s), white
  • 2 chili peppers, green or red, medium hot
  • 4 g coriander leaves, fresh, chopped
  • 3 tbsp lime juice, fresh
  • ½ tsp salt
  • some pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 15 minutes

Oaxaca-style grilled beef sauce

Finely dice the tomatoes, chilies, and onions. If you prefer a less spicy flavor, deseed and remove the septa from the chilies. Mix everything in a bowl and season with salt, pepper, lime juice, and cilantro. Let the salsa sit for several hours.
