Sanny's Tsatziki

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 m.-large cucumber(s)
  • 6 cloves garlic
  • 500 g quark, 20% or low-fat
  • 400 g sour cream
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • possibly Maggi, mixed herbs, chives

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Mix the quark with the sour cream. Peel the cucumber, cut it in half horizontally and then vertically. Remove the seeds with a teaspoon. Cut the cucumber into small pieces or grate it (depending on your taste) and add a little salt. Peel the garlic and onion and finely dice both (the garlic even smaller than the onion). Stir the cucumber into the quark and sour cream, as well as the onion and garlic. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and perhaps some herbs. Sometimes a tiny bit of vinegar and a touch of sugar work wonders (but again, it’s your own taste!). If the mixture isn’t creamy enough for you, you can add a little milk. The tzatziki tastes absolutely delicious with grilled food, but also with baked potatoes and warm white bread!
