  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 450 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

  • 700 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 100 g raisins, if desired
  • possibly rum for pickling
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

aromatic and juicy, with cinnamon and vanilla

Preheat the oven to 190°C. Peel and quarter the apples, remove the cores, and cut into even slices. Dust with cinnamon and toss with the raisins, if desired. If you like, you can soak the raisins in rum first. Mix the sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and butter. Knead everything together and form a fine crumble. Grease the baking tray. Spread two-thirds of the crumble on the tray and press down firmly, pushing up the edges slightly. Arrange the apples on top of the crumble and sprinkle with the remaining crumble. Bake at 190°C for about 45 minutes, until the crumble is golden brown. Tastes wonderful with whipped cream, vegan whipped cream, of course.
