Ingredients
- 6 Sliced frankfurter sausages
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 Freshly finely diced onion
- 1 Garlic cloves finely chopped
- 1 Green peppers finely chopped
- 1 pinch Sugar
- 250 g Tinned tomato pieces
- 50 ml Balsamic vinegar
- 200 ml Vegetable stock
- 1 tbsp Port red
- 1 pinch Sea salt fine
- 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
- 1 tsp Finely chopped basil
- 1 pinch Dried oregano
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 450 g French fries
Instructions
- Heat the butter in a saucepan (not too hot so that it doesn't burn) and fry the sausage slices, seasoning a little. Keep the pot warm.
- Heat the olive oil in another saucepan and sauté the onion until it is colored. Then add the peppers and the garlic and cook for a few minutes. Now add a little sugar, which is also sweated a little while stirring.
- Now add the aceto and let it simmer a little. Pour in the broth and bring everything to a boil briefly.
- The sauce is now combined with the seared sausage slices. Then add the tomato pieces (let them drain a little). Now season with the spices and stir in the basil
- Cover and let the sauce simmer a little and add the port wine in between.
- Bake the fries in the oven according to the instructions on the packet and serve with the delicious sausage goulash. Tasted awesome.
