- 0,5 piece Basic recipe gingerbread from heiropi *
- But without potash, because I wanted thin sheets
- 400 g Cream cheese double cream setting
- 200 ml Cream 30% fat
- 1 teaspoon Ginger bread spice*
- 0,5 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
- 0,5 teaspoon Ginger powder
- 4 tablespoon Sugar
- 50 ml Maple syrup
- 50 g Chopped almonds
- 20 g Butter
- 2 tablespoon Sugar
- Gingerbread dough as in the Christmas cookie recipe: Gingerbread Dough: Prepare the basic recipe. Roll out thinly on a floured surface, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper or foil and bake for about 8-10 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius.
- Immediately after taking them out, cut two plates to the size of a baking dish. If you let the dough cool down, it becomes firm and crispy and can only be broken.
- Whip the cream and mix with the cream cheese, sugar and the spices.
- Place a gingerbread plate in a baking dish, brush with maple syrup and spread half of the cream on top. Now the second plate on top, maple syrup again and then the rest of the cream on top.
- Now cool for at least six hours, but preferably overnight.
- To finish, heat the butter, sugar and almonds in a pan and make a brittle while stirring constantly. Be careful, this stuff burns easily. After cooling, crumble the brittle and sprinkle the layered food with it.
- The indicated time is WITHOUT baking the gingerbread plates.
