Sausage goulash with strained tomatoes, peppers and spices

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g sausage (Krakauer, Wiener or Fleischwurst)
  • 85 g bell pepper(s), red
  • 30 g onion(s)
  • 100 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • 125 ml vegetable stock
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • some cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

without ketchup, without wine

Dice the onions, bell peppers, and sausage. Add the oil to a saucepan and heat over low heat (e.g., level 4/12). Add the diced onion and tomato paste to the pan and sauté. After 3-4 minutes, add the bell peppers and sausage and sauté for a further 3-5 minutes. Season with a pinch each of salt, pepper, and oregano. Pour in the vegetable stock and the passata and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix the cornstarch with a little water and stir in, bring the goulash to a boil, and simmer until the desired consistency is reached. Season the sausage goulash with salt, pepper, and oregano.
