Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 6 tbsp vinegar (red wine vinegar)
  • 7 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, turmeric
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 medium-sized garlic clove(s)
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 3 bell peppers, red, yellow and green
  • 200 g cherry tomatoes
  • 150 g cheese (e.g. Allgäuer Emmentaler)
  • 650 g sausage (hunting sausage or mortadella)
  • 3 gherkins
  • Parsley and chives as desired, dried or fresh

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Combine red wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper, turmeric, mustard, ketchup, and lemon juice in a large bowl and mix together. Finely dice the garlic, onion, bell pepper, cheese, sausage, and gherkins and add them to the bowl. Mix everything thoroughly and season to taste. Then add the chopped parsley and chives and mix everything together again briefly.
