  • 300 g sausage (Lyoner), cut into strips
  • 1 onion(s), cut into rings
  • 100 g gherkins or cornichons, sliced
  • 2 g sugar
  • pepper
  • 4 tbsp sunflower oil
  • Crema di Balsamic vinegar (e.g. Crema con Condimento Bianco Italiano)

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

– without cheese, as the name suggests

Place the sliced sausage in a bowl. Add the onion rings and cucumber slices to the bowl. Add the sugar, plenty of pepper, and oil, and mix well. Add the cream to taste. I use 1 tablespoon to find the perfect balance between the hot pepper and the sweetness of the cream. The sausage salad can be eaten immediately, but it’s also easy to prepare in advance.
