  • 100 ml oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Oatmeal casserole

Finely chop the leeks, onions, and garlic and fry them slowly in a little oil until light brown. Toast the oats separately in the remaining oil until light brown. Add water and a little salt and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until a thick, firm paste forms. Then stir in the onions, leeks, and garlic, season with salt, and pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake the pie for one hour at 200°C. The oatmeal pie is best served hot. It tastes best with a spicy tomato sauce. A good meat sauce also goes well with it.
