Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 pork schnitzels
  • 1 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 1 tbsp horseradish
  • 1 egg(s)
  • Flour
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 20 g butter
  • Oil, for frying
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 2 slice(s) cheese (Emmental), or another savory cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

with horseradish, onions and cheese

Flatten the schnitzels slightly and season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides. Dust the schnitzels with flour. Whisk the egg with the milk and coat the schnitzels in it. Then coat them in the breadcrumbs. Heat plenty of oil in a pan and fry the schnitzels on both sides over medium heat until golden brown. Finely slice the onion and sauté separately in the butter until translucent. Do not let the butter get too hot. Spread the cooked schnitzels with horseradish as thickly as you like. Place the onion rings on top and cover with the cheese. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C until golden brown.
