Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 slices of white bread
  • 4 pork schnitzels, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 1 egg(s), beaten
  • Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 gherkins, sliced
  • e.g. lettuce leaves

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Giessen croutons

Season the schnitzel with salt, pepper, and paprika. Dip it in the beaten egg, coat it in breadcrumbs, and fry it on both sides in hot oil. Then fry the four eggs in the frying fat until fried.
