Schupfnudeln with onions, ham and cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 pack of potato dumplings
  • 200 g cooked ham, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, red
  • 200 g medium-aged Gouda
  • 1 sprig(s) rosemary
  • Clarified butter
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Slice the onions into thin half rings and sauté them in clarified butter in a pan until soft. In another pan, fry the potato dumplings with rosemary in clarified butter until crispy. Add the diced ham and onions. Season generously with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Serve with grated Gouda cheese at the table. An asparagus salad also goes well with this.
