simple and delicious, about 6 scones

Combine the flour, oats, and baking powder and knead together with the room-temperature butter, sugar, milk, maple syrup, and salt. Roll out the dough to about 2 cm thick. Cut out scones using a round or glass cutter, place them on a greased baking sheet, and brush with a little milk or a milk-and-egg mixture. Bake at approximately 160-180 degrees Celsius (320-350 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 15 minutes. They’ll be golden brown and perfect. Let the scones cool completely, then enjoy with clotted cream and homemade jam. Cream cheese is also delicious. Makes about 6 scones.
