Scrambled egg hearts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 sausages (e.g. Vienna sausages)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp butter for frying
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

e.g. for Valentine’s Day or wedding anniversary

Cut the sausages almost (!) in half, but leave a little bit of a seam at the end. Now carefully bend the two ends outward and tie them together at the top (or secure them with toothpicks). This will form a heart. Whisk the two eggs and season with salt and pepper. Heat a pan with butter and place the sausages in it first. Then slowly pour the egg mixture into the center. Close the lid and let it set. Tip: You can brush the hearts with ketchup for a red color—for Valentine’s Day, for example.
