Seaweed soup

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 handful of seaweed, wakame or arame
  • ¼ ml water for soaking
  • 1 liter of water
  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ pack of cream cheese with green pepper
  • ½ pack of cream cheese with herbs
  • pepper
  • Fondor

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Soak the seaweed in hot water for about 10 minutes. In the meantime, fry the chopped onion and garlic in oil until lightly browned. Dust with flour. Make a light roux and pour in half of the water and/or the soaking water (depending on saltiness). Separate the soft seaweed, or wakame, from the ribs; cut into thin strips. Leave the wakame whole. Add to the soup. Stir in the cheese. Add water until the desired consistency is reached. Season. Simmer for about 10 minutes, adjusting seasoning if necessary.
