Semolina casserole with cherries

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 60 g butter
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 100 g semolina
  • 200 g sugar
  • 250 g quark
  • 5 eggs
  • ½ jar cherry(s)
  • 50 g almond flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Combine the milk, butter, vanilla sugar, semolina, and 100g of sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Meanwhile, combine the quark with the eggs and 100g of sugar in a bowl. Once the semolina has cooked, add it to the bowl, mix everything together, and pour into a greased baking dish. Then place the cherries on top, pressing them in slightly. Sprinkle with flaked almonds and bake for 30 minutes at 170°C (350°F). This casserole can also be made with other fruits.
