semolina soup

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 6 tbsp durum wheat semolina
  • 1 ½ liters of water
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 pinch of salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

very quick and very easy, the cooking time is about 10 minutes

Melt the butter in a saucepan, add the semolina, and toast it. The darker the color, the more intense the flavor. Don’t let it burn. Gradually add the water and let it simmer. The soup shouldn’t get too thin. Whisk the egg and stir it into the boiling soup. I usually add sliced Vienna sausages and (may the chef’s god forgive me) a little Maggi sauce.
