Ingredients for 5 servings:
- 30 g butter
- 60 g semolina (durum wheat semolina)
- 1 egg(s)
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- 1 ½ liters of water
- 2 cubes of stock
- 1 turnip(s), yellow
- some chives
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Put the butter in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon. Add half of the semolina and mix. Add the egg and the remaining semolina and mix everything again. Season with salt and nutmeg. Pour 1.5 liters of water into a pot and grate in the beetroot. Then add the stock cubes and heat the mixture. When the water boils, grate in the batter using a spaetzle grater. Cook for 5-10 minutes. Then add some chives and serve hot.
