Semolina with Hot Cherries and Cinnamon Sugar

The perfect semolina with hot cherries and cinnamon sugar recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 liter Milk
  • 140 g Butter
  • 2 Pinches Salt
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 2 packet Vanilla sugar
  • 140 g Soft wheat semolina
  • 1 Can Black cherries 425 g / weight of fruit 213 g
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp Sugar
  1. Bring the milk (2 liters) with butter (140 g), salt (2 pinches), sugar (100 g) and vanilla sugar (2 packets) to the boil and sprinkle in the semolina (140 g) while stirring constantly. Cook slowly over low heat, stirring constantly. The semolina thickens after about 7 – 8 minutes. Briefly heat the cherries (here: in the microwave!) And mix the cinnamon (2 teaspoons) with the sugar (4 tbsp). Serve the semolina sprinkled with hot cherries and cinnamon sugar.
