Serrano tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized onion(s)
  • ½ bulb(s) garlic
  • 8 slices of Serrano ham or Parma ham
  • 400 g porcini mushrooms
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp pepper, mixed, freshly ground
  • 1 pinch(s) sugar
  • 2 tbsp, heaped butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 600 g tagliatelle
  • e.g. Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Dice the onions. Dice the garlic. Dice the Serrano ham. Bring about 2 liters of salted water to a boil in a saucepan. Add the tagliatelle to the pan and cook according to the package instructions. Add the olive oil, porcini mushrooms, onions, garlic, salt, sugar and 1 tablespoon of water to a deep pan and simmer over medium heat with the lid closed, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes. Add the pepper, butter and Serrano ham to the pan, mix, and simmer with the lid closed and on low heat for 10 minutes. Add the finished tagliatelle to the pan, mix well and serve. Sprinkle with a pinch of freshly ground pepper and/or Parmesan cheese.
