Sesame Orange Cookies
The perfect sesame orange cookies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 2 tbsp Flaxseed crushed
- 60 ml Hot water
- 150 g Coconut blossom sugar
- 120 ml Liquid coconut oil
- 50 ml Maple syrup
- 100 g Wholemeal spelled flour
- 50 g Chestnut flour
- 130 g Sesame seeds light
- 50 g Grated almonds
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1 piece Organic orange, zest and juice
- Cinnamon, salt, grated cardamom
- Pour hot water over the flaxseed in a large bowl (not quite boiling), stir and let stand for 5 minutes. Then add coconut oil, maple syrup, coconut blossom sugar and orange juice and zest and stir.
- Mix the sesame seeds, both types of flour, grated almonds, baking powder and the spices in another bowl. Using the dough hook, gradually mix the flour mixture into the moist ingredients. At the end, go through again with your hands as needed.
- Preheat the oven to 165 degrees top / bottom heat. Place balls of the same size on a baking tray covered with baking paper / baking mat (roll briefly). I use a small ice cream spoon for portioning. Press the balls flat to about 1 cm. Now you can put a hazelnut or cranberrie in the middle. Bake for about 15-20 minutes until they have turned some color. By the way, I only pushed one tray into the middle and baked it twice. The result is extremely tasty!
