Sesame ring rolls

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 300 g wheat
  • 100 g spelt
  • 70 g sesame seeds
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 250 ml milk

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

For 12 wholemeal rolls

Mix the wheat and spelt and grind finely. Toast the sesame seeds in a pan without fat. Mix the flour with half of the sesame seeds in a bowl. Make a well in the center and crumble in the yeast. Drizzle with honey and wait until the yeast has dissolved. Heat the milk to lukewarm and pour it in. Knead everything thoroughly. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 30-40 minutes. Add the salt and knead everything again. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a rope. Roll the ropes in the remaining sesame seeds. Shape into rings. Place on a baking sheet and let rise for another 20 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 20 minutes.
