Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 jar water
  • 1 jar milk
  • 1 jar oil
  • 1 cube of fresh yeast
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg white
  • sesame
  • 500 g flour, maybe a little more or less, depends on the jar size

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Knead all ingredients except the egg whites and sesame seeds into a dough. Divide this dough into small or large balls. It is always best if the balls are roughly large enough so that, when rolled out, a round shape can be cut out with a larger glass. Cut out the center of the round dough shapes cut out with the large glass again with a smaller glass, leaving a ring at the end. Cut out any remaining rings with the remaining dough. Then beat the egg whites with a little water until frothy. First roll the rings in the egg whites, then in the sesame seeds. Place everything on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Now bake the rings in an oven preheated to 180°C (top/bottom heat) until they are crispy and brown. Since this is an ancient Turkish recipe, the measurements are given in glasses (a small drinking glass with a capacity of approximately 100–125 ml).
