Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 500 g Sharon fruits
- 250 g sugar
- ½ lime(s), the juice
- 1 drop of vanilla extract
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Peel the Sharon fruit, remove any seeds, and cut into small cubes. Place them in a saucepan with the sugar, the juice of half a lime, and the vanilla extract. Bring to a boil for 5-10 minutes, or until the flesh is soft. Then puree with a hand blender, to your liking, either very finely or with chunks. Test for setting; the jam should no longer run off the spoon once it’s cooled. Then pour into prepared twist-off jars and let cool. I got about three 200g jars out of them. Unfortunately, I can’t say how long this jam will keep. It was snatched from my hands while it was still warm.
