Sharp NT Turkey Thigh

The perfect sharp nt turkey thigh recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 piece Turkey thigh fresh from the poultry farmer I trust
  • 1 pinch Sea salt from the mill
  • 1 pinch Black pepper from the mill
  • 1 pinch Poultry seasoning see my KB
  • 4 piece Dried red chilli with seeds, coarsely ground
  • 1 tbsp Sweet paprika powder
  • 6 tbsp Olive oil
  1. This leg was prepared for a friend and me. My boyfriend wanted to eat spicy, but the ladies didn’t want it. So they went shopping and we were allowed to prepare and enjoy the delicious leg.
  2. Parry the leg, wash and pat dry. Then rub with the poultry seasoning, pepper and salt.
  3. Place the leg in the middle of the electric oven on the grid. The oven was preheated to 80 degrees. Pierce the core temperature meter in the thickest part.
  4. Now make yourself comfortable, drink a few beers, have a snack and watch the leg cook. After about 4-5 hours, the core temperature is 68 degrees. Now set the oven to 200 degrees.
  5. Mix the chillies with the paprika powder and the oil. Take out the leg and brush all over with the spicy mixture and place the leg back on the grid.
  6. Now bake with the skin side up for about 30 minutes. Then take the leg out of the oven, cut it into slices and taste it with bread and beer.
  7. I hope the pictures explain everything. On the first picture you can see how juicy such an NT club is. The turkey meat was very flavorful, especially the skin. We got very warm while eating. The next time I dose the chil-oil mixture more carefully.
