Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 ½ tsp baking powder
  • ¾ bag lemon peel, grated or lemon flavor
  • powdered sugar
  • lemon juice
  • Grease for the tray
  • Breadcrumbs for the baking tray

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

For the batter, combine the sugar, margarine, vanilla sugar, and eggs. Combine the flour and baking powder and stir into the batter. Add the lemon zest or flavoring and mix. Grease the baking sheet and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Spread the batter evenly. Bake in a preheated oven at 180–200°C for about 20 minutes. Once cooled, combine the powdered sugar with the lemon juice and stir into a paste. Spread the icing evenly over the cake and then garnish as desired.
