Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g cooked ham, wafer-thin (butcher’s ham)
  • 2 onions
  • 100 ml sunflower oil or rapeseed oil
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 50 ml water
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 20 minutes

Cooked ham marinated, with bread

Cut the butcher’s ham into thin strips and the onions into wafer-thin rings. Mix the remaining ingredients to make a stock. Layer the butcher’s ham and onions in a container and pour the stock over them. Let everything marinate for at least 24 hours. Then strain the stock. Perfect on bread, rolls, or baguettes.
