Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork (neck or from the leg)
  • 500 g smoked pork
  • 250 g bacon
  • 3 onions
  • 2 bell peppers, red
  • 1 bell pepper(s), green
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • 2 bottles of sauce (shashlik sauce)
  • Oil for frying
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Dice the meat, ham, bell peppers, and onions. Brown the meat, ham, and onions in oil until crispy. Pour in 1/2 liter of water and stir in a bottle of shish kebab sauce. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika. Simmer in a covered pan for about 45 minutes. Then add the bell peppers and simmer for another 20 minutes. Finally, add the remaining sauce. Serve with spaetzle or rice.
