Zucchini sticks with bacon

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 large zucchini
  • 1 pack of bacon, approx. 150 g
  • olive oil
  • Spice(s) to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

low carb, for a casserole dish or baking tray

Trim the ends of the zucchini and quarter the zucchini. Pour the olive oil (I used chili olive oil, but you can use any oil you like) into a bowl. Gradually add the desired spices, depending on your taste. I used nutmeg, curry, salt, pepper, garlic, and paprika, for example. Mix everything well and marinate the zucchini in it. Wrap the marinated sticks with about 2-3 slices of bacon per stick. Place all sticks in a baking dish or on a baking tray and drizzle with a little oil. Place in an oven preheated to 150°C (top/bottom heat) on the middle rack and roast for about 45 minutes. If you like the bacon crispier, leave the sticks in the oven at a higher heat for a little longer. Then serve. You can increase the number of ingredients depending on the number of people. Can also be eaten cold.
