Shrimp in a Mediterranean sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 200 g shelled prawns
  • 200 g cream
  • 1 chili pepper(s)
  • 1 large garlic clove(s) or 2 small
  • 2 tomatoes, dried in olive oil
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 8 basil leaves
  • e.g. Parmesan
  • 1 tsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Finely slice and deseed the chili pepper. Also finely slice the garlic clove. Fry both together with the butter on high heat until translucent. Then add the prawns. These should ideally be thawed. Just before the prawns are done cooking, add the tomatoes, which have been finely chopped beforehand. Be sure to add some of the oil to the pan. Then reduce the heat by half. Meanwhile, finely chop the basil. Then add the cream, basil, and parsley to the prawns. While everything is heating up and the cream is reducing, add as much Parmesan as you like. Serve with spaghetti, penne, or tagliatelle.
