Shrimp in garlic and herb oil

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g shrimp(s) (frozen, with glaze), cooked, peeled, ready to eat
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ lemon(s) or lime
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar, neutral vinegar
  • 1 pinch of chili pepper(s), crushed or cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp parsley, chopped, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar to taste

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 10 minutes

Remove the glaze from the shrimp under running water and let them thaw in a sieve on a plate for about 1 hour. Now make the marinade: Combine the lemon juice, vinegar, oil, chili, parsley, and soy sauce. Press in the garlic clove and season with salt, pepper, and sugar. The marinade should be fresh and spicy so that it can still impart plenty of flavor to the shrimp. Mix with the shrimp and let it marinate in a shallow container in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Perfect as an appetizer or for a cold buffet.
