Side Dishes: Spicy Potato and Apple Pan

The perfect side dishes: spicy potato and apple pan recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 2 Holsteiner Cox apples
  • 2 size Onion
  • 3 tbsp Rapeseed oil
  • Chilli salt
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Harissa
  1. Today I felt like trying something new and wanted to give my fried potatoes a fruity support. To do this, peel the potatoes and cut them into large cubes. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the potato cubes in it for about 6-8 minutes, depends on the size of the cubes.
  2. Peel and dice the onion and add to the potatoes after the time has elapsed and fry them. Peel and quarter the apples and remove the core. Also cut into large cubes. When the potatoes are almost done, the apples can be fried for the rest of the time.
  3. Season everything vigorously with chilli salt, pepper and harissa. The sweetness of the apples takes away a lot of the heat and goes well with the chilli. We also had garlic sausage and a mixed salad.
