Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1,000 g carrot(s)
  • 1,000 g potatoes
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • some butter
  • 1 tsp, leveled salt
  • 1 pinch(s) of pepper
  • possibly nutmeg

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

the best potato and carrot mash

Peel the carrots and potatoes. Cook the potatoes in salted water as usual. Chop the carrots and sauté them in a little butter and sugar until soft. Season with salt and pepper. When the carrots and potatoes are soft, mash them. Season the carrot mash to taste (we like it with plenty of pepper). If you like, you can also season the potatoes with a little nutmeg. Mix the two together now! This goes well with meatballs, bratwurst, or simply a lettuce.
