Baby – Baked Apple

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 apple, ripe, a mild variety
  • some raisins, unsulfured
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 rusk, whole grain

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

from the 9th – 10th month

Wash the apple, core it with a corer, and cut off a small portion of the bottom (to help it stand upright and allow the juice to run more freely during cooking). Fill the apple with the raisins. Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon on top and place a teaspoon of butter on top. Form a small boat out of aluminum foil, place the rusk inside (this will absorb any apple juice), place the apple on top, and bake at 200°C for about 15 minutes (or until the apple is soft—just pierce it). This baked apple makes a delicious afternoon snack (for example, instead of cereal and fruit puree), especially when the little ones decide they don’t want puree anymore. My little boy is absolutely crazy about these baked apples.
