Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 55 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes
Polish sweet dish with beans
Mix the flour, dry yeast, salt, and sugar. Add the oil and water, knead well, and cover and let rise for 30 minutes. Briefly knead the risen dough, roll it out slightly, and divide it into 6 pieces with a knife. Use a rolling pin to roll the dough pieces into a circle. Not too thin, otherwise the filling will burst during steaming. Pour the beans into a sieve and let it drain. Mix all ingredients well and puree finely with a hand blender. Using a tablespoon, place some of the bean mixture in the center of the yeast dough. Gather all the ends together and seal tightly to form a ball. Place the balls on a floured surface, cover, and let rise for 25 minutes. Fill a large pot with enough water to level the feet of the steamer basket with water. It is important that no water rises to the sieve. Brush the steamer basket with a little butter. Bring the water to a boil with the lid closed. Reduce the heat. Place the Simi-Cini in the greased steamer basket. An average-sized steamer basket will hold about three Simi-Cini. If everyone wants to eat at the same time, we recommend using two steamer baskets. Brush with water, sprinkle with some sesame seeds, and place the steamer basket in the saucepan. Cover and cook for 12 minutes. Remove the Simi-Cini from the steamer basket with two tablespoons and divide them among plates. They taste best freshly steamed.
