Simple goulash with gherkins and mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g beef or pork goulash or mixed
  • 500 g spiral noodles
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 carrot(s)
  • 1 small can of mushrooms
  • 1 small jar of pickled gherkins
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 bags of KNORR Naturally Delicious! Spicy Goulash (seasoning base)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

with spice base

Sear the goulash and set aside. Peel the onion, garlic clove, and carrot. Quarter the onion, chop the carrot into small pieces, and slice the gherkins and mushrooms. Sauté the onion and carrot in a little oil and add the garlic clove, chopped or crushed, as desired. Sauté everything for 20 minutes. Pour 800 ml of water over the vegetables and stir in the seasoning base. Then add the meat, mushrooms, and gherkins and simmer everything over low heat for 1 1/2 hours. Cook the pasta in salted water. Add the tomato paste to the goulash and serve with the pasta and the remaining gherkins.
