Simple Hawaiian Schnitzel

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 schnitzels or minute steaks
  • 6 slices of pineapple
  • 12 slices of processed cheese (toast cheese)
  • 3 eggs
  • n. B. Flour
  • e.g. breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, pound the schnitzels (just use minute steaks as is). Whisk the eggs and place them in a deep plate, then the flour in another plate and the breadcrumbs in a third plate. First coat the schnitzels in the flour, then in the beaten eggs and finally in the breadcrumbs. Fry them in a hot pan. When the schnitzels are cooked, add the pineapple (I always use one slice, but you can use two if you want a lot of pineapple) and then the toasted cheese. Bake in the oven, preferably using the grill/convection function, at 200°C (about 10 minutes). I serve them with fries or potato wedges and ketchup/mayonnaise.
