Baked pork fillet

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g pork fillet(s)
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 4 bananas
  • 500 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 point cheese (gratin cheese)

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the pork fillet into 1 cm thick slices. Sear the meat slices in 1.5 tablespoons of oil. This can be done well in advance and can be frozen, including any juices. Grease a gratin dish with oil. Cover the bottom with meat slices. Halve the bananas and arrange them on top of the meat. Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan. Add the curry, ketchup, salt, and meat juices, and thicken with cornstarch. Dissolve 0.5 packets of gratin cheese in the sauce and pour the sauce evenly over the meat and bananas, ensuring everything is covered. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for 20 minutes in a preheated oven at 225 degrees Celsius. If preparing this for a party, bake it in the oven without the cheese for 10 minutes and sprinkle the cheese on top during the last 10 minutes of baking. Serve with warm baguette.
