Turkish bread boats with sucuk
Knead all ingredients except cheese, butter, and sucuk into a smooth dough, cover with a damp towel, and let rest for one hour. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions and roll out into ovals, not too thin. Place the sucuk and cheese on top, leaving a 2cm border. Fold over the two long sides and press the tips together firmly at the top and bottom to create the boat shape. If you like, you can season with chili. Place the pide in the oven at 200°C and bake until golden brown. Remove from the oven and brush the edges with a little butter. The topping can of course be varied according to taste. For a vegetarian option, use feta and tomatoes, for example, or mushrooms instead of sucuk.
