Simple poppy seed cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 200 g sour cream
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 pack of poppy seed cake
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 200 g almonds, ground
  • 1 bag(s) of vanilla pudding powder
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 3 tbsp rum

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

with a fine vanilla aroma

Cream the butter with sugar, sour cream, salt, and vanilla sugar until creamy. Beat in the egg yolks one at a time. Stir in the poppy seed mixture. Mix the almonds with the pudding powder and baking powder. Briefly stir into the cream along with the rum. Finally, fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites. Spread the batter into a springform pan lined with baking paper and bake at 160°C for about 1 hour.
