Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 slices of wholemeal toast
- 20 g butter
- 4 slices of cheese, variety of your choice
- 2 tomatoes
- Sea salt, from the mill
- Pepper, colorful, from the mill
- Fat, for the contact grill
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 minutes; Total time approx. 23 minutes
Grilled whole-grain toast slices filled with cheese and tomatoes
Grease and preheat the contact grill. Butter 4 slices of toast and top 2 slices with 1 slice of cheese each. Remove the stems from the tomatoes, cut into approximately 1 cm thick slices, and place 2 slices on each slice of cheese toast. Season with salt and pepper. Place the remaining 2 slices of cheese on top of the tomatoes and the two buttered slices of toast on top of the two cheese and tomato toasts. Place on the contact grill, grill until golden brown, and arrange on a plate. Garnish with the remaining tomato ends and enjoy. (Cooking time for the contact grill varies depending on the manufacturer.)
