Smoked pork and leek gratin

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 stalk(s) leeks
  • 3 onions
  • 4 slices of smoked pork
  • 4 slices of toast
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 200 g cream
  • 250 ml milk
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • 150 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Cheap recipe

Slice the leek and onions into rings. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and fry the smoked pork for about 2-3 minutes on each side. Toast the bread and place it in the greased casserole dish. Place the roasted meat on the slices of bread. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in the frying fat and fry the leek and onions for about 4 minutes, turning occasionally. Then deglaze with cream and milk and bring to a boil briefly. Season with pepper and nutmeg. Then spread the vegetables over the meat. Sprinkle with cheese and bake in the oven at 170 degrees Celsius (convection oven) for about 15 minutes.
