Smoked trout on farmer's bread

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 4 trout fillets, smoked, possibly pre-packaged from the refrigerated section
  • 2 tsp horseradish, from the jar
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 bunch arugula
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 4 slices of farmhouse bread
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Slice the red onion into thin rings. Mix the cream cheese with lemon and horseradish. Spread the cream cheese and horseradish paste on the farmhouse bread. Wash the arugula, spin it dry, and place it on the cream cheese. Top each bread with a trout fillet, top with onion rings, and grind pepper over it.
