Smokey's baked leek and mustard baguettes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) Baguette(s), thin
  • 200 g leek
  • 100 g full-fat cream cheese
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp, heaped mustard, coarse-grained
  • 1 sprig of rosemary, very finely chopped
  • 6 leaves basil, chopped
  • n. B. Pepper, from the mill
  • n. B. Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

As a starter or aperitif.

Halve the leek lengthwise and wash thoroughly. Cut into small cubes. Blanch in salted water for about 5 minutes, drain well, and let it drain. Combine the cream cheese, crème fraîche, mustard, and herbs in a bowl. Crush in the garlic and season with salt and pepper. Mix in the leek and spread the mixture generously on baguette slices. Place these on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 10-15 minutes. Serve warm.
