Snack: Cheese and Spinach Börek

  • 16 piece Yufka dough sheets sixths
  • 0,5 Fresh onion
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 250 g Frozen creamed spinach
  • 2 pinch Crushed red pepper
  • 100 g Goat feta
  • Or sheep cheese
  • 50 g Butter
  1. Peel and chop the onion. Heat the oil in a small saucepan, sauté the onion until translucent, then add the spinach and bring to the boil while stirring. Then take the pot off the stove, season and let cool.
  2. Crumble the feta and mix with the spinach.
  3. Melt the butter.
  4. Place one Yufka sixth on the work surface, brush with butter and place a second sheet on top. Now add about 1 heaped tablespoon (one eighth) of the spinach and cheese mixture. Then roll it up (fold in the edges).
  5. Place all 8 Börek on a baking sheet and brush with the remaining butter.
