Snacks in Between: Minced Spinach Packets

The perfect snacks in between: minced spinach packets recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

* for the dough

  • 50 g Yogurt
  • 1 Egg
  • 50 ml Sunflower oil
  • 50 ml Water
  • 0,5 tsp Salt
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • Black cumin

* for the filling

  • 200 g Minced meat
  • 200 g Frozen spinach
  • 1 Fresh onion
  • 2 small Pointed peppers green
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Crushed red pepper
  • Garlic powder
  1. For the dough, mix together the yogurt, egg, oil, water and salt. Then add the flour and knead everything into a dough.
  2. Now divide the dough into 8 parts and shape into balls. Put these in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, prepare the filling. Peel the onion and chop or cut. Peel the pointed peppers, remove the seeds and also cut into small pieces.
  4. Heat the oil in a pan. Add onions, peppers and minced meat and fry lightly. Add the previously defrosted spinach and sauté. Season to taste.
  5. Then remove from heat and let cool down.
  6. Press the dough balls flat, then roll out the edges thinly, leave the middle thicker, a total of approx. 20 cm in diameter.
  7. Now place an eighth of the filling (1.5-2tbsp) in the center of a dough circle.
  8. Now fold the lower part onto the filling, then fold the sides over and finally the upper part.
  9. Fill the other packets in the same way. Then place these with the folded side (top) down on a baking sheet.
  10. Whisk the egg yolk and brush the packets with it. Sprinkle with black cumin (amount as desired).
  11. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for about 30-35 minutes.
  12. Taste lukewarm best.
