Snow Peas
The perfect snow peas recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 200 g Snow peas
- 1 piece Onion
- 1 piece Clove of garlic
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Colored pepper
- 200 ml Riesling
- Salt
- Peel and roughly chop the onion and (fresh, juicy) garlic.
- Halve the pods, looks nicer with an oblique cut.
- Grind the pepper in a mortar.
- Fry the onion and garlic in oil over medium heat patiently without color, add the pepper.
- Add the white wine and the sugar snap peas to the pan and turn up the temperature. It should boil. (a good 3 minutes).
- Then reduce the heat and simmer until the sugar snap peas have the desired consistency.
- Season to taste with salt.
- Hot, warm, lukewarm, cold, whether as a vegetable or salad: delicious!
