- 60 g sugar
- 60 g butter
- 1 tsp salt

- 1 egg(s)
- 3 tbsp milk
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 35 minutes
Chocolate, sugar, raisins, nuts everything is possible
Preheat the oven to 220°C (top and bottom heat). Make a yeast dough from the seven ingredients above. Once the dough is ready, knead in any ingredients you’d like. Let the dough rise in a warm place for half an hour. Now cut the dough into 10 equal-sized pieces. You can shape them round or oval if you like—your imagination is the limit. Let the formed rolls rise for another 20 minutes. Mix the 3 tablespoons of milk and the egg and brush the rolls with it. The rolls need to bake for 12-15 minutes, depending on the oven and the desired degree of browning. This recipe is enough for 8 Weckmann (pretzels). I was given it during my apprenticeship, and everyone in our circle of friends lines up when I bake it.
